Marypat Cooper led process revolution at Brooks Electronics Division of The Wiremold Company for over 14 years in Production, Quality and Human Resources.  Expert in the Toyota Production System as well as office and information systems, Marypat worked as Hoshin Leader and Internal Consultant for The Wiremold Company across the United States, Canada and Europe.

 

Her efforts to fully integrate kaizen and continuous improvement throughout various corporate functions have resulted in record-breaking productivity and profit gains.  She has led teams to successfully overhaul pay systems, product families, supply chains, equipment design and information flow systems to profitably delight customers. Author of  The Kaizen Sketchbook, Marypat is the co-founder of 2MCSquared, Inc. which provides an international clientele with workshops, handbooks and customized training simulations to initiate and sustain a corporate culture of lean enterprise.

 

Marypat holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Wisconsin, graduating in the top 3% of her class. She has participated in multiple work-study projects in Japan. Her teachers include Dr. W. Edwards Deming, Art Byrne, Gary Brooks and Chirhiro Nakao.  Marypat’s efforts at the Wiremold Company have been acknowledged in Lean Thinking by Jim Womack and Daniel Jones, Gemba Kaizen by Masaaki Imai, and Who’s Counting by Jerry Solomon. Marypat joined Moffitt Associates in 2003 and all of her clients have enjoyed significant gains in lead time, productivity and profit as a result of her consulting work.  Marypat joined Sheridan Healthcorp in 2009 to facilitate Lean Transformation in the Medical Industry. Recognized in 2008 for her contribution to the development of Lean Certification by SME, The Shingo Prize and AME, Marypat continues to volunteer for various lean organizations around the United States and lives between Philadelphia and Fort Lauderdale with her husband and youngest of three children.
